I hope this scandal will make disappear the political pressures in the scientific world, and that scientists themselves to behave honestly. However, I'm not quite optimistic, because despite this scandal Copenhagen summit goes ahead and the proponents of anthropogenic climate change are still very influential in the media, for example here in Spain today is the first time newspapers are talking about this scandal.
