Superlatives abound!!!

The president's recent speech re the Gulf oil spill has a familiar ring to it. Note the superlative: “From the very beginning of this crisis, the federal government has been in charge of the largest environmental cleanup effort in our nation’s history.”
Wasn't the financial crisis the "Greatest ...in our nations history" and the Health Care bill the "Most sweeping reform since the New Deal". Sounds to me like he's trying to insure his position in the history books.
Just a Fox Thought.

Good question. Does Obama not want a good crisis to go to waste, consider the anti - Brit stance, don't mntion the fact that it was an American Rig and crew that ran the 'Deepwater Horizon',don't suspend the Jones Act
and delay the cleanup operation until American crews can be trained up. Then vilify BP to an extent that you might think they were on par with North Korea or Iran. Oh, and don't mention the fact that a huge oil spill happened in the same region for the same reasons back in 1979.....with an American rig. Hummm
