On June 2, 2009, The Heartland Institute will host the third International Conference on Climate Change at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, DC. It will call attention to widespread dissent to the asserted “consensus” on various aspects of climate change and global warming.

Some of the world’s elite scientists and economists will gather in the nation’s capital with Members of Congress to take up the theme, “Climate Change: Scientific Debate and Economic Analysis.” Confirmed speakers include Dr. Richard Lindzen of MIT, Dr. Roy Spencer of NASA, Dr. Willie Soon of Harvard, and Dr. Gabriel Calzada, Madrid, whose work on job creation shows green job programs pre-empt or destroy more jobs than they create.

Also speaking: Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla) and Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.).

The conference theme reflects the fact that the scientific debate is not over and that economic analysis is more important than ever as Congress seriously considers legislation that may not be necessary but would place enormous burdens on the economy.
